htaccess_root problem/ virtual host mode.... bitte erklären (nixraff)

It is recommended to run eZ publish in virtual host mode. If you do not have the possibility to use virtual host mode, you should follow the instructions below about how to install an .htaccess file. The .htaccess file tells the web server to restrict the access to certain files. If you have shell access, you can run the following commmands. cd /home/chilevin/public_html/web cp .htaccess_root .htaccess If you do not have shell access, you will have to copy the file using an FTP client or ask your hosting provider to do this for you.

Juni 2006 17:19:21 Beim Virtual Host Mode wird im Webserver (z.B.Apache) mittels Redirektregeln alles auf die index.php geleitet bis auf bestimmte Ausnahmen. So wird der unbefugte Zugriff auf scripte und config-dateien von Außen verhindert Das gleiche kann auch mittels sogenannter .htaccess dateien erfolgen. Ist eben nur ne andere Notation. Mit den .htaccess Dateien hab ich aber nich so die Ahnung.
